There have been at least 50 car accidents causing 4 deaths in or near this intersection in the past 10 years. Recent serious car accidents have occurred at this deadly location.

The Sedgwick County is discussing illuminating the area to prevent nighttime car accidents. The County has placed warning signs on either side of the intersection approaching 21st Street. More significant traffic signals and warnings are necessary to prevent more deaths at this location.
